Mont Marte Premium Air Hardening Clay in terracotta is designed for modelling, sculpting, decorative objects and craft projects. The clay dries naturally in the air, so it does not require kiln firing and is convenient for use at home, in studios or in classrooms.
After kneading, the clay becomes pliable and easy to shape. Its slow-drying quality gives you time to form details and refine your design. Once dry, the finished piece can be sanded, drilled, painted or sealed with varnish.

How to Use
Remove the amount of clay you need and knead it by hand until it becomes workable. Shape it using your hands, clay tools, stamps or textured surfaces. The clay is suitable for free-form sculpting, traditional pottery techniques and decorative craft methods.
Drying and Finishing
Leave the finished piece to dry naturally in the air. Drying time depends on the thickness of the piece, its shape and the humidity of the environment; thinner pieces usually dry in around 24 hours. Once fully dry, the surface can be lightly sanded, drilled, painted or sealed with varnish.
Storage
Store unused clay in an airtight package or sealed bag to prevent it from drying out. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
